Club Coaches

Meet Our Coaches!

Barb Rogers is a Level 3 Skate Canada coach and has been with the Arthur and Area Skating Club for over 20 years. Her skating philosophy is to make sure every skater gets off the ice at the end of their session feeling better about themselves than when they got on. Skating is not just a sport, it’s an avenue of learning many life skills. Barb works full time as a Planning Resource at Nestle Waters in Aberfoyle. She looks forward to every minute on the ice with “her” skaters. She has 2 girls who both grew up in the Arthur skating club along with her Granddaughter who is also learning to skate with the club.  Barb also spends time helping to coach the Guelph Gryphons at the University of Guelph and introduction to Synchro at the Guelph Skating Club. Every skater has an opportunity to be the best they can be at anything they do, we just need to give them the avenue to do so!

Tiff is a level-one certified Skate Canada coach and has been coaching for 8 years with many different clubs within the area. Her coaching philosophy is helping skaters of all ages and skill levels achieve their personal goals, no matter how big or how small. Watching skaters become enthusiastic, and self-motivated and develop their own passion for skating increases her love and commitment to our amazing sport. Tiff wants them to develop into the best athletes/people they can be as skating is more than just skills it’s relationships and connections to others and yourself. Currently, she is a student at Wilfrid Laurier University in the Bachelor of Education program in hopes of someday becoming a primary-junior teacher. Tiff just recently got married in August 2021 to her husband Jamie and they live in Palmerston together with their dog Bailey. She looks forward to another year of coaching at Arthur Skating Club in providing a fun and exciting skating experience for children of all ages!
